Jetstream Aviation Capital, LLC is pleased to announce the delivery of one Saab 340B aircraft to Southern Airways Express of Palm Beach, Florida on March 30, 2022.
The aircraft, serial number 340B-345, is the first of a multi-aircraft commitment between Jetstream and Southern. The Saabs initially will be operated within the airline’s Hawaiian islands footprint. Aircraft 345 is named The Phil LeFevre, in honor of Southern Airways’ longstanding Chief Operating Officer who passed away in early 2022.
Southern Airways, founded in 2013, is an FAA Part 135 air carrier and one of the nation’s leading commuter airlines. In addition to the Saab 340 aircraft, the company operates Beech King Air 200s, Cessna 208 Caravans and Pilatus PC-12s. Southern Airways recently acquired Air Choice One of St. Louis, Missouri and is the United States’ largest operator of Cessna Caravan aircraft on scheduled passenger service. Southern Airways and its affiliate, Mokulele Airlines of Hawaii, have been leasing customers of Jetstream since 2015.
