Stuart Klaskin’s aviation career has spanned more than thirty-five years and includes extensive experience in numerous aspects of the global commercial aviation industry, including aircraft sales and leasing, scheduled and nonscheduled air carrier management, air carrier and aviation-related capital sourcing and business planning, and both commercial and corporate aircraft flight operations. He is a founding principal of Jetstream Aviation Capital.
He was a principal of KKC Aviation Consulting from that company’s formation in 1992 until 2009, in which capacity he was instrumental in the development and implementation of capital funding, start-up, strategic, operational, turnaround and bankruptcy workout plans for numerous entities, including U.S. and international airlines, aircraft lessors, industry investors, and airports. Previously, he was general manager of Aerovision Aviation Management, an integrated provider of air charter and aircraft sales, leasing and management services, and director of operations for Tropic Aviation, an aircraft sales and leasing firm.
Stuart is a widely recognized media commentator and speaker and is often quoted in global media on issues concerning commercial aviation, and is a recognized leader in providing industry understanding to the private equity and hedge fund communities.
In 2003, he was appointed by Florida Governor Jeb Bush to the Florida Aviation & Aerospace Alliance’s Blue Ribbon panel on the future of aviation in Florida. In 2009, he was elected to the Miami-Dade College Alumni Hall of Fame for his outstanding contributions to global transportation.
He is a commercial pilot with over 6,000 hours of flight experience.
